Ronaldo immortalized in hometown

The World-Footballer-of-the-Year-Elect, Cristiano Ronaldo, has been given a warm reception and honour at his hometown, Madeira, Portugal. A statue of the Real Madrid playmaker was unveiled in front of a mammoth crowd gathered to celebrate the talented icon for his record-breaking achievements.

Ronaldo helped Real Madrid secure their first Club World Cup title on Saturday and has been in great form for club and country.
