Vice President, Namadi Sambo, was at Port Harcourt, Rivers State, today to flag off the Enugu-Port Harcourt-Enugu inter-city train service. Sambo noted that the project is another milestone in the transformation agenda of President Jonathan.
He said the project was important to resuscitate and revitalise the railway system which has suffered neglect in the past and boost the transport sector to boost economic activities in the country. Dignitaries at the ceremony included the Minister of Transport, Idris Umar, and Chairman Nigerian Railway Corporation, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur
