Director General for the Buhari Campaign, Governor Rotimi Amaechi, has said that the All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate is the leader Nigeria needs to put an end to the Boko Haram insurgency. At an interactive session with journalists in Lagos to flag off the campaign, he noted that the former Head of State has a previous record of dealing effectively with terrorism during his tenure citing the case of the Chadian rebels that invaded Borno State. Amaechi stressed that Buhari possesses the attributes of a strong leader who will confront terrorism and restore peace to the notion.
According to the Rivers State Governor, the APC will not engage any political party in discussing irrelevant issues but rather run an issue-based campaign. He stressed that if brought on board, the APC-led government will fight corruption, especially within the NNPC, and create employment.
