Bomb explosions rock Damaturu and Maiduguri
Boko Haram insurgents have struck again in two North Eastern Nigerian towns of Damaturu and Maiduguri Nigeria.
Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State, witnessed sporadic gunshots as the terrorists seized and attempted to gain control of the town in the early hours of Monday.
Relative calm has now returned after an outstanding effort by the Nigerian military to squash the attempt by insurgents.
Elsewhere, two female suicide bombers with detonatives hid in their hijab dresses arrived a saloon in Maiduguri and blew themselves up after security agents attempted to search them. This is the second attack in Maiduguri in just a week.
