The English Football Association have banned controversial Liverpool striker, Mario Balotelli for one match and fined him £25,000. This punishment is coming after the Italian posted offensive comments on social media deemed to be an “aggravated” breach of the rules.
Balotelli has endured a frustrating start to life at Anfield following his arrival from Italian giants, AC Milan, last summer. The former Manchester City forward has failed to score enough goals for his new club this season to the displeasure of Liverpool fans.
