The All Progressives Congress has confirmed the appointment of Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State as the Director General for the Buhari Campaign. Amaechi who was previous tipped to be running mate to General Buhari now has a huge task of running the presidential campaign and ensuring victory for the APC at the 2015 polls.
Reacting to the choice of Prof. Osibajo as the party's Vice Presidential candidate, Gov. Amaechi stated that he did not join the APC simply to become the Vice President. He noted that in a democratic process it is only normal that one at of all the possible candidates will emerge. Amaechi however said he was delighted that many Nigerians considered him fit for the job.
