5 PDP Governors visit Obasanjo


Five Governors of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have held a closed door meeting with former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, at his hilltop residence in Ogun State.
The delegation included Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum and Governor of Akwa Ibom, Godswill Akpabio, Liyel Imoke of Cross River State, Sule Lamido of Jigawa, Babangida Aliyu of Niger and Isah Yuguda of Bauchi State. According to reports in the media, the governors visited Obasanjo to seek his support for the party and settle his disagreement with President Jonathan.

Obasanjo told journalists after his interaction with the governors that his recent utterances have borne out of genuine love and concern for the country and did not intend to attack anyone.
