The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has thrown its weight behind the candidature of President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of the February 2015 presidential election. At the special National Convention of the party in Awka, Anambra State, Chief Victor Umeh, the National Chairman of APGA, called on party faithful to support the President in his re-election bid.
During the convention, Governor Willie Obiano was also appointed as leader of the party and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Thereafter, the governorship candidates of the party were unveiled and a ground-breaking ceremony for the party's secretariat was performed.
