Twin blasts in Maiduguri as Boko Haram Strike again

At least 10 people have been confirmed dead after two bombs went off this evening in a busy commercial area of Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital. The attacks are believed to have been carried out by Islamist Militants, Boko Haram.

The insurgents recently attacked a Federal Government College in Buri Yadi, Borno State where they slaughtered students in their dormitory.

Meanwhile, the Sultan of Sokoto has condemned the recent attacks by the extremists. In a visit to the Gbong Gwom of Jos, both leaders expressed regret over the high level inhumanity that has been displayed by the insurgents.

The Jos monarch is quoted as saying that 'when school students are being massacred, that is the future of Nigeria being massacred'. Both leaders also urged the Federal Government to stick to dialogue and collaborate with community leaders to put an end to the violence.
