Kerry holds talks with Russian Foreign Minister

United States Secretary of States, John Kerry has held talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov at Russia's embassy in Paris on the recent annexation of Crimea. Kerry revealed after the discussions that no breakthrough was reached at the end of their four hours of “frank” talks.

He noted that the Russian troops on the border of Ukraine are creating an atmosphere of fear, adding that “any real progress in Ukraine must include a pullback of the very large Russian force that is currently massing along Ukraine’s borders.”

Russia has however dismissed allegations that it is planning to further invade Ukraine.
