IPAC faults composition of “National Sleeping Conference”

The Inter Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC) has criticized the composition of the on-going National Conference which it says has “too old delegates.” It also described the exercise as “another waste of public funds” in recycling the same old people who created the problems plaguing the country today.

Reacting to recent incidents involving delegates who were seen sleeping during the conference, the council stressed that people in their seventies are not the right set of individuals to map out a bright future for the country as they are too old for such an important task. It added that this is the “reason why the National Conference has turned to a National Sleeping Conference.”
