A video footage has emerged on social media, showing two South African policemen in Cape Town pushing and kicking a Nigerian man, Clement Emekensha (believed to be an immigrant) after stripping him naked. The video has provoked public outrage and both cops involved in the show of shame have been suspended and charged.
South African authorities have condemned the act and disclosed that an independent investigation is underway. The police in South Africa have been involved in many similar incidents. Just last year, a Mozambiquan died after being dragged through the street.
