President Jonathan mourns late confab delegate


President Goodluck Jonathan has commiserated with the family and associates of the late National Conference delegate from Bauchi State, Alhaji Hamma Misau.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, President Jonathan praised the retired Assistant Inspector General of Police for his service to the nation.

He also commiserated with the Chairman of the National Conference, Justice Idris Kutigi (retd), members of the conference and the Association of Retired Police Officers.

“As he is laid to rest in his home state today, President Jonathan urges all delegates to the National Conference to resolve to honour his memory by rededicating themselves to working conscientiously towards further strengthening national unity and promoting peace, security, political stability and faster development in the country.

“The President prays that the Almighty Allah will receive Hamma Misau’s soul and grant him eternal rest in paradise,” the statement read.

The deceased was laid to rest today in his home town in Bauchi State.
