The Chief Justice of Nigeria has sworn-in 25 new judges of the Court of Appeal. She called on the new judges to be politically neutral and ensure that their actions do not undermine the integrity of the judiciary. In her determination to stamp out corruption, the Chief Justice also noted that any erring judge would be severely dealt with.
It will be recalled that a few weeks back, two judges were sent on compulsory retirement for gross misconduct in the discharge of their responsibilities.
