North Central PDP Leaders visit Jonathan


Leaders of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the North Central zone have paid a courtesy visit to President Goodluck Jonathan at the State House in Abuja. The delegation was led by a former Chairman of the party, Ahmadu Ali.



Ali praised the President for his development efforts in the zone and urged him to continue his good works. Other members of the delegation who spoke at the gathering include: National Chairman of the PDP, Adamu Muazu, Senate President, David Mark, and Governor Gabriel Suswan of Benue State among others.

Suswan called on the President to give urgent attention to the insurgency in the country. He noted that the safety of the zone was very important for any development effort to be achieved.

In his reaction, President Jonathan thanked the delegation and assured them that his administration is fully committed to fighting the insurgents and restoring peace to the region.
