Resign now!: APC tells Petroleum Minister

The All Progressives' Congress (APC) has formally requested the resignation of the Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison Madueke, over the missing $20 billion which the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido, said was not remitted by the NNPC to the federation account.

This call by the APC was published in The Guardian of Tuesday 25th March, 2014 and signed by the opposition party's Interim National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed. The publication noted that the whooping sum of money that disappeared under the Petroleum Minister's watch could have been used to addressed many economic challenges facing the country.

The Minister is also currently being investigated by the House of Representatives over allegations that she defrauded tax payers of N10 billion for the maintenance of a private jet.
