Boko Haram attack Borno again, kills 29 in Borno

At least 29 people have been confirmed dead after a violent attack believed to have been carried out by Islamic sect, Boko Haram. The insurgents bombed a market in Nguro-Soye, near Bama, Borno State.

“People were helping in evacuating the corpses after the confusion had died down. Some people who were injured were taken to the general hospital,” according to Tahir, an eyewitness.

The incessant attacks being carried out in the North East continues to cast doubt over the claims by the Federal Government that it is winning the war. However, with the on-going national dialogue, there are high expectations that the current security challenges will become a thing of the past
