Ukrainian Parliament appoint Speaker as Interim President
Ukraine's parliament has appointed it's Speaker, Oleksandr Turchynov, as Interim President following the ousting of President Viktor Yanukovych.
The parliament is now dominated by foes of the former president. It has taken bold measures in the last few hours by sacking ministers and freeing jailed protesters. Investigations and detentions of former officials could also follow soon.
Thousands of demonstrators have gathered to celebrate their victory over the pro-Russian Yanukovych.
