The BBC has reported that Former Spain Coach, Luis Aragones has died at the age of 75. Aragones guided Spain to their first major success in 44 years with victory in the 2008 European Championship.
He was manager of La Liga outfits Barcelona and Atletico Madrid with whom he won the La Liga title in 1977.
Aragones enjoyed a blissful playing career scoring 172 goals in 372 games for Atletico. He was capped 13 times for the national team.
The Spanish Football Federation issued a statement that "expressed its grief and shock at the death of Luis Aragones".
