Arsenal fan stabs Liverpool supporter after humiliating defeat

Following Liverpool's 5-1 thrashing of Arsenal on Saturday in the English Premier League match played at Anfield, an angry Arsenal fan in Kenyan stabbed a Liverpool supporter after they both had an argument. .

Kenyan newspaper, People Daily, reported that David Mwangi stabbed 25 year-old Anthony Mutethia on the chest.

“He was pronounced dead on arrival at Meru Level Five Hospital. The assailant ran away but his motorbike was taken to the police station by Makutano residents,” the report said.

An eye witness revealed that the two engaged in an argument that eventually got nasty after Mutethia started mocking Mwangi. The Arsenal fan became uncontrollably angry and stabbed the Liverpool supporter.

“He was also drinking beer as the game proceeded and because Mutethia was also a bit drunk they could not have come to terms over their argument. This is just a game for entertainment and he should not have got so tempered.”

The Kenyan Police have launched investigations on the matter. Arsenal were beaten black and blue by Liverpool and had doubts cast on their title credentials.
