Centenary Celebrations: World leaders eulogize Nigeria

Over 30 Heads of State and Government have arrived Nigeria to witness the country's centenary celebrations. In a ceremony organised to mark the celebrations, many of the world leaders praised the West African country for its numerous achievements and urged it to continue the leadership role on the continent.



Mr. Simmonds who represented the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, stated that despite troubles that have bedevilled the country since the 1914 amalgamation, 'a bright future awaits Nigeria'

French President Francois Hollande also assured Nigeria of his country's support in the anti-terror war. He noted that France was concerned about the present security challenges in Nigeria and willing to provide assistance.

President Jonathan on his part, called for cooperation among African leaders to end the reign of terror.
