Mugabe clocks 90, insists he is not tired.

Zimbabwe's President, Robert Mugabe marked his 90th birthday yesterday with a colourful celebration amidst cheers from thousands of people mostly students.

The Southern African leader who has had a 34-year grip on power has no plans of stepping aside any time soon. He had no words of love for the country's colonial masters (Britain)when he noted that 'we don't hate you, we love our country. We love our country better than we love you.'

At 90, Mugabe has become Africa's oldest leader. He has been criticised by many for living an extravagant life when the vast majority in Zimbabwe live in abject poverty.
