Court restrains FG from arresting Sanusi

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has granted the request of Sanusi Lamido to restrain the Federal Government or any of it's agencies from violating his fundamental rights of liberty and free movement.

Sanusi was suspended yesterday by President Jonathan for acts of financial recklessness which he has denied.

Meanwhile Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos state has condemned Sanusi's removal saying that the President his sending a wrong message by punishing someone who has spoken openly to condemn corruption.

The National Publicity Secretary of the PDP has however said that it is wrong for people to politicise the CBN Governor's removal. Olisa Metuh stated that the PDP is in support of the President's decision to suspend the controversial CBN boss.
