The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Dakuku Peterside, may be their son but this has not stopped the traditional rulers of the ancient kingdom of Opopo Nkoro from publicly endorsing his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party, Nyesom Wike, for the governorship seat in Rivers State.
The traditional rulers declared their support for Chief (Barr) Nyesom Wike and President Goodluck Jonathan when the PDP governorship candidate paid them a visit and promised to ensure their success at the general elections next month.
Wike on his part stressed that if elected he wouldn’t be a governor for Ikwere people alone but for the entire state. The former Minister of State for Education promised to run an all-inclusive government and carry everyone along in the discharge of his duties.
