We will regain lost territories soon - Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has assured the people of the North East that the  government is working hard to ensure that territories lost to Boko Haram insurgents are reclaimed in no distant time. He made this promise today when he paid a visit to the Shehu of Borno in Borno State.

The President expressed regret that some Nigerians have become refugees in neighbouring countries like Chad and Niger. He dismissed claims that his administration was sponsoring the attacks by insurgents in the troubled region in order to gain numerical advantage ahead of the elections by reducing the number of opposition votes.

According to the President, plans are in place to return peace to the region and rebuild schools and other infrastructures. The monarch appealed to President Jonathan to end the insurgency ravaging the region and complete developmental projects to assist the people.
