Agbaje vows to give APC 'a total knock out'

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje has expressed confidence that he will defeat his rival, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Akinwunmi Ambode, in the February 28 governorship election.

Agbaje told his supporters on Thursday that he is contesting against a former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor Babatunde Fashola and Ambode. “One by one, I will give Tinubu, Fashola and Ambode a total knockout,” the PDP flag bearer said.

He went on to criticise Governor Fashola noting that “To do well is for our children to pass their exams. To do well is for poor people to have houses they can afford. To do well is for people to have a suitable environment to do their trades and run their businesses. Whether they worked hard or not is not the issue. They have worked hard but they have failed. This election, God has given it to us. They cannot continue. To continue is when you have passed.

“This election is not about experience but qualification. Jimi Agbaje does not have experience for political office, but he is qualified to lead Lagos. They say I don’t have government experience. Tinubu was just a senator for three months before becoming governor. For me, what is most important is qualification and I am qualified to be Lagos State governor.”
