French President, Francois Hollande addressed a biannual conference in which he discussed economic issues and his plan to get the economy of France back on track.

There were however issues of greater concern which the people of France had expected him to address. A French magazine in a recent publication made allegations that Hollande had a private affair wth an actress. Following this report, the French First Lady has been hospitalized.

Many had expected him to break his silence on the allegations but after a journalist asked him about the issue he responded by saying that 'everyone in his private life can go through difficult moments. These are difficult moments but I have one principle: private matters should be dealt with privately in respect of everyone concerned. This is not the place, not the time.'

Journalists present at the conference expected President Hollande to reveal who the 'real' First Lady is. He however promised to answer that question before his visit to US President Barack Obama next month.
