El Rufai finally honours SSS invitation

The Deputy National Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasir El Rufai finally reported to the SSS this morning. He was accompanied by his wife and some APC chieftains including Governor Rotimi Ameachi of Rivers State and Senator Chris Ngige.

The former FCT Minister was invited by the SSS last Thursday after he allegedly said that there would be violence in the 2015 elections. El-Rufai however refused to honour the summons, unless a warrant was tendered. The SSS later stormed his two homes in Maitama on Friday, this time with a warrant, in a bid to arrest him but the APC chieftain was nowhere to be found.

El Rufai who spoke with the media on arrival at the SSS headquarters today said that there was nothing wrong with the statement he made. He alleged that the SSS was hunting him because he sued them for the action they took against him in Awka during the governorship election in Anambra State last month.
