The Black Stars of Ghana have defeated Nigeria's home-based Super Eagles to secure a place in the final.
The Ghanaian team were reduced to ten men in the second half but handled the situation well by holding their Nigerian counterparts till the end of the second 45 minutes, taking the game to extra time.
The Black Stars continued to prove stubborn even in extra time although the Super Eagles created some fine chances. The game was forced to a penalty shoot out as the scoreline remained goaless at the end of extra time.
The Ghanaians finally punished Nigeria for their squandered chances as they won 4-1 in the penalty shoot out.
Ghana will play Libya who earlier defeated Zimbabwe 5-4 on penalties to secure a place in Saturdays final in Cape town.
