More than 36 people die after bomb explosion in Kano
It was another bloodbath today in the ancient city of Kano, North West, Nigeria after two vehicles loaded with bombs exploded near the Central Mosque. No fewer than 36 people lost their lives and more than 100 people were injured following the ugly incident.
The terrorists are also reported to have opened fire on worshippers who gathered for prayers. Although no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, it is believed that Boko Haram insurgents are behind the barbaric act.
Meanwhile the Presidency has condemned the attack and commiserated with families who lost their loved ones in the bloodbath. The President also directed the security agencies to launch a thorough investigation and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book.
