It was another sad day in Maiduguri, North East Nigeria as two female suicide bombers detonated explosive devices in a popular market around 11:30am.
One of the girls walked into the crowded market and blew herself up killing three people. After sympathizers had gathered the scene of the explosion, the second girl screamed and detonated the device under her garment killing 30 more people.
Many of the injured victims have been taken to the accident and emergency unit of a specialist hospital in Maiduguri for medical attention.
