Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has angrily torn his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) membership card and denounced his membership of the ruling party in the presence of party leaders from his ward in Ogun State. The leaders had paid him a visit at his Hilltop residence in Abeokuta to express concern over his recent outbursts against President Jonathan and the ruling party.
Obasanjo stated that he would henceforth stay away from partisan politics and remain a statesman.
