Nigeria needs to be restructured – Dokpesi

Media mogul, Chief Raymond Dokpesi has challenged his co-delegates at the on-going National Conference to make meaningful contributions that will lead to a critical review and restructuring of Nigeria. Dokpesi said that Nigeria has performed poorly as a nation compared to other countries that previously depended us for growth and survival.

He noted that Malaysia once came to Port Harcourt and Benin to get palm kernel seedlings and “today is a net exporter of palm products which Nigeria largely imports.” The media mogul also pointed out that Brazil was struggling at a time when Nigeria was booming, but we now go there to buy airplanes. He noted that there are problems with our system which need to be addressed as quickly as possible.

The National Conference should have a look at these critical issues and “come up with clear cut proposals that will definitely lead to the restructuring and review of what the status quo is as regards the configuration of Nigeria,” Dokpesi said.
