Military launch assault on Fulani Herdsmen


The Nigerian military have killed no fewer than 20 fulani herdsmen in Keama Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. The suspected Fulani cattle breeders were reportedly taken unawares as soldiers engaged them in a deadly gun duel.

Meanwhile, the Defence spokesman, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, has denied knowledge of the attack. According to a report by Channels Television, Olukolade promised an investigation of the incident to ascertain if those who carried out the attack were indeed soldiers.

He also disclosed that the military has restored normalcy in three local governments of Benue State and arms have been recovered from the enemies in Plateau, Kaduna and Nasarawa States.
