Nigerians deserve a better leadership - Tambuwal

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has stated that “Nigerians deserve a better leadership” noting that “by the grace of God this will be exemplified by General Muhammadu Buhari. His records speak for him,” Tambuwal said at the flag of the presidential campaign of the former Head of State in Port Harcourt Rivers State on Tuesday. 


The APC governorship candidate for Sokoto State has not been the biggest fan of Nigeria’s incumbent President, Goodluck Jonathan. He openly criticized the latter’s leadership even when he was a member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, suggesting that the President’s body language encouraged corruption. Tambuwal was unveiled as a big catch for the APC late last year after months of speculation over his political future.

He initially declared interest in running for President under the opposition party but later withdrew and picked the governorship form for Sokoto State instead.
