Police to enforce no movement order on Gov. Fayose


The Ekiti State Police Command has said it will enforce the “no movement” rule on everybody, including Governor Ayodele Fayose and political appointees in the state.

The command also barred movement/distribution of money or inducement in whatever form from one polling booth to the other.

2015 election: Okorocha charges police to be non-partisan


As the general elections draw closer, the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has called on the police to be fair in the discharge of their duties and not take sides with any political party. The Governor made this call when he visited the police headquarters in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

IGP donates cash and items to widows of slain officers


The Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, has donated cash and food items to the wives of police officers who lost their lives at Alakyo on 7th May, 2013 and others who went missing in the course of duty in Gwozo. Abba made this donations in Nasarawa State and promised to assist the widows in their time of need

Senate condemn police invasion of National Assembly


The Senate has condemned the recent invasion of the National Assembly complex by the police, accusing the law enforcement agency of compromising the sanctity and integrity of parliament.

Taking turns to speak, some of the senators expressed discontent over the 'unconstitutional, criminal and illegal' act of the police as they engaged lawmakers in a 'show of force'.

I did a good job in Rivers State - Mbu

Former Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Mbu has rated himself high for his performance in Rivers State noting specifically that no political assassination occurred during his tenure. He also described his critics and those that called for his redeployment as unfair.
