Patience Jonathan wants INEC to rig Rivers’ guber poll, Gov. Amaechi alleges
AHEAD of the governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections, the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has accused the wife of the President, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, of pressurising the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies to rig the governorship election in the state.

Gov. Lamido set to decamp to APC???
Rumours have it that the Governor of Jigawa State, Gov. Sule Lamido is about to decamp from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the main opposition, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The aggrieved governor is reported to have held secret meetings with the leadership of APC including the Governor of Rivers State and Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation, Rotimi Amaechi in Abuja recently.

It will take Buhari to fight Boko Haram - Amaechi
Director General for the Buhari Campaign, Governor Rotimi Amaechi, has said that the All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate is the leader Nigeria needs to put an end to the Boko Haram insurgency. At an interactive session with journalists in Lagos to flag off the campaign, he noted that the former Head of State has a previous record of dealing effectively with terrorism during his tenure citing the case of the Chadian rebels that invaded Borno State. Amaechi stressed that Buhari possesses the attributes of a strong leader who will confront terrorism and restore peace to the notion.

Amaechi appointed DG of Buhari's Campaign
The All Progressives Congress has confirmed the appointment of Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State as the Director General for the Buhari Campaign. Amaechi who was previous tipped to be running mate to General Buhari now has a huge task of running the presidential campaign and ensuring victory for the APC at the 2015 polls.

Supreme Court Upholds Amaechi’s Election
The Supreme Court of Nigeria yesterday declared that Governor Amaechi remained the validly elected governor of Rivers State after it dismissed the suit filed by former governor Celestine Omehia seeking to nullify the emergence of Amaechi as the governor of the state.
