Real Madrid are Champions of Europe!

Real Madrid have clinched La Decima, their record 10th European Cup after coming from behind to beat their La Liga rivals, Athletico Madrid 4-1 in Lisbon.

Athletico had gone 1-0 up late in the first half after a blunder by Los Blancos Captain, Iker Cascilas. The La Liga Champions put on a good display in the second 45 and were hoping to see the game through but in the nick of time Sergio Ramos's powerful header forced the game to extra time.

In extra time Gareth Bale made up for his missed chances scoring a beautiful header following a nice work by Di Maria. With the comeback complete, substitute Marcelo added another goal With a powerful shot.

A bad foul on Cristiano Ronaldo in the penalty area saw the referee point to the spot. The World Footballer of the Year stepped up and made no mistake, leaving the final score at 4-1.
