David Mark cautions politicains, says rigging won't be tolerated

Senate President, David Mark, has cautioned political aspirants to shun any attempt to rig during the forthcoming elections. While addressing politicians of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the North Central geopolitical zone at a meeting in in residence to develop strategies on how to win the elections in their states in the February polls, Senator Mark said he was very confident that the PDP will make headway in the region.

Senate President overrules defection of lawmakers

There was drama today in the National Assembly as the Senate President, David Mark stopped some senators from moving from the ruling party to the All Progressives Congress (APC). It all started when Senator Bukola Saraki from Kwara State stood up to speak on behalf of the senators in question. Quoting a section of the constitution he challenged the Senate President's decision not to read out the defection letters when the senators had the right to move to another party of their choice.
