The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, has again condemned the Boko Haram sect stating that their practices are contrary to the doctrines of Islam.
Speaking at the formal opening of the annual Islamic Vacation Course organised by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria at the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the cleric noted that “We have said it times without number that any act that breeds violence like the one being exhibited by Boko-Haram has no basis in Islam.
