Fortune Magazine lists Okonjo-Iweala among 50 Greatest World Leaders


The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has been named one of the world’s 50 greatest leaders. Okonjo-Iweala came 33rd alongside leaders such as the Liberian President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Pope Francis, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Mmodi.

Okonjo-Iweala presents 2015 budget to NASS


In a brief ceremony today, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, presented the 2015 budget estimates to both chambers of the National Assembly. She was accompanied by the Director General of the Budget Office and some other Ministers including Senator Bala Mohammed.

Okonjo-Iweala to present 2015 budget to NASS on Wednesday


The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, will on Wednesday 17th December present the 2015 budget estimate to the National Assembly on behalf of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Dr. Okonjo-Iweala held a closed door meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives today after which she confirmed to journalists that the budget was ready to be presented tomorrow.

President Jonathan flags off construction of Second Niger Bridge

Almost fifty years after Nigeria's first President, Nnamdi Azikiwe commenced the construction of the first Niger Bridge, the 'second Azikiwe' today turned the sword for the construction of the Second Niger Bridge at the end of the Asaba/Onitsha highway.
